Description |
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The High School Admissions Representative duties include communicating via telephone and/or mail with prospective students to encourage campus visits as well as apply for admission, maintain appropriate follow-up with prospective students regarding the status of their enrollment. Ability to build, and maintain relationships with High School counselors and teachers compose informational presentations to all levels of educators in high schools to encourage them to recommend Clarita Career College to their students. Plan and deliver high school presentations and generates leads in the local high school markets. In addition, the candidate will make use of skill assessments, personal interviews, past experiences and previous education to help students and parents determine which program is appropriate.
A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills; sincere interests in helping others achieve educational goals, desire and ability to motivate others to succeed, excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide students and parents with information on admissions requirements, program availability, and other relevant topics
Formulate an assessment of each prospective student based on his or her needs, desires, interests, qualifications, motivations, commitments, and determinations
Provide recommendations, guidance and assistance to potential high school students regarding the admissions process
o Provide information on available programs and eligibility requirements
o Review applications and related documentation for compliance
Develop a high school visitation schedule to deliver consistent customer service to students, faculty and staff
Attend college/career fairs and other high school sponsored events
Participate in open houses, information nights and career exploration events
Conduct enthusiastic educational presentations in the high schools and following up on high school visits within assigned territory
o Provide presentations in a classroom setting utilizing video, PowerPoint and/or other presentation equipment
o Administer programs using recruitment and marketing materials designed to target high school students
o Accurately communicate the curriculum, program outcomes, career services and student services
Build and maintain relationships with local high school students, faculty and staff
Complete and maintain all required reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
Responsible for enrolling a defined number of high school students
Achieve established enrollment goals
Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor degree required; preferably in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or Psychology
Minimum of Two (2) years of experience in outside sales required or private-education enrollment
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish (Bi-lingual language skills) highly desired
Outstanding presentation, communication and customer service skills required
Strong interpersonal skills required
Ability to build relationships high school faculty and high school population required
Ability to conduct presentations and ability to speak to small groups and large groups of varying ages required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Ability to schedule visits with faculty and high school administrators required
Ability to travel to schools in the required; Reliable transportation required
Ability to work evenings and on Saturday required
Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed and perform well required
Ability to pass a background investigation required
